I am clinically depressed and taking medication, can I have contact with my child?

The answer to this question is YES, as long as there are no safeguarding concerns. The fact that you have sought professional advice and have been diagnosed with a mental illness and subsequently being treated with appropriate medication to reduce your symptoms gives you a strong case. Therefore taking medication should not stop you from having contact with your child as long as you are taking the medication as prescribed from your GP and that your symptoms are not interfering with your ability to parent appropriately. This actually shows that you were pro active and sought help when you needed it.
